"In over the two years that I've been working with Dan as my therapist, I have finally felt like I was able to explore and begin healing from various experiences in my past and work through childhood trauma and abuse of a personal nature.
My intrusive thoughts and images have reduced so much which has given me so much relief and the traumatic experiences now have much less impact on me than they did before.
From the start, Dan has created a space for me to talk that was at my own pace which felt safe and made it possible to talk about difficult things and he always takes the time to check how it feels to talk about things and that my emotions are contained. During the time I have worked with Dan I have developed more of a sense of empowerment over my life and my sense of identity, and my values have become clearer to me. I now understand my anger in a different way and can cope with sadness in new ways and be more honest with myself and others which has really helped my relationships with loved ones.
Dan has a warm, friendly, and honest presence. He provides understanding, validation, gentle reminders to be kind to myself, and insights that help me view a situation differently or with less defensiveness. He also brings the focus on our relationship in the sessions to help me understand my own patterns of relating.
I also really appreciate that Dan incorporates learning from different approaches, and really emphasises the whole embodied experience of emotions using breath work or body scans in a way that links the mind and body together with has created a greater awareness of how I feel when talking about experiences but also how I feel during situations in my life outside of therapy.
Dan also provides recommendations on what might be helpful to work on or read outside of therapy, allowing me to find more ways of shaping my life in a more meaningful and compassionate way. As past trauma has less impact on my life and therapy also focuses on shaping the future he incorporates all aspects of my being and help me to think about how to nourish all the parts of who I am with the aim of helping me to flourish in life."
Celia Rodriguez - Clinical Psychologist
Dan has been working with my teenage son who has been struggling with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks since 2020 due to the mental toll of the COVID pandemic and issues stemming back to his childhood including the loss of his uncle.
A slow but steady journey during which Dan has helped him enormously to talk about his feelings, understand himself and others better and whilst there is still work to be done, he hasn’t suffered a panic attack in over a year and is in more control of his mental health. He now understands the underlying factors that were triggering panic attacks and how to have better control over these issues.
During this time Dan suggested the family join monthly sessions with my son which has had a positive effect, not only on my son but with the family as a whole. Our relationships have flourished, and we are a stronger, happier family unit as a result with much less conflict and an enhanced ability to listen to each other and resolve differences in a calm way.
I appreciate the effort and commitment that Dan has made to helping us all and am very grateful for the time that my son and family have spent working with him.

"Dan has provided counselling for me in Epsom and Ewell over the past 3 years helping me to overcome, long term depression, the death of my Father, Childhood Trauma, and ongoing health issues that I have had for many years. The support he has given me during this time has helped to re solve a number of issues in my life and feel more confident about the future, helping me with my self esteem, confidence and self acceptance.
